“প্রতিদিনের মতো ১৮ জুলাইও আমি আর আমার বাবা কাজের জন্য বের হয়েছিলাম। বাবা সেদিন রোজা ছিলেন। দুপুরে উত্তরা এলাকার অবস্থা খারাপ হলে তিনি মসজিদে গিয়ে আশ্রয় নেন। বিকেলে ইফতার কিনতে বের হলে পিছন দিক থেকে পুলিশের ছোড়া একটি গুলি তার পেটে লাগে। হাসপাতালে সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা করেও আমার আব্বুকে বাঁচানো সম্ভব হয়নি। আজও মনে হয়, তিনি ইফতার নিয়ে ফিরে আসবেন…”

“Like every other day, on July 18, my father and I went out for work. He was fasting that day. When the situation worsened in Uttara around noon, he took shelter in a mosque. Later in the evening, while going out to buy iftar, a police bullet hit him from behind, piercing through his stomach. Even with the best medical treatment, my father could not be saved. To this day, it still feels like he’ll return home with iftar in his hands…”

জুলাই বীর শহীদ হাফিজুল ইসলামের জন্মদিনে শ্রদ্ধা ও শুভেচ্ছা। ৪ আগস্ট, বাড়ি ফেরার পথে তিনি পুলিশের গুলিতে নির্মম ভাবে নিহত হন। তিনি এক সত্যিকারের বীর, সাহস ও আত্মত্যাগের এক অমর প্রতীক। আজ এবং চিরকাল আমরা তাঁকে শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করি।
Happy Birthday to July Hero Shaheed Hafijul Islam. On 4th August, while returning home and speaking to his wife, he was brutally shot dead by the police. He is a true hero, a symbol of courage and sacrifice. We honor him today and always.

শুভ জন্মদিন জুলাই বীর শহীদ আনাস

আজ ১৩ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ — জুলাই বীর শহীদ আনাসকে স্মরণের দিন।
৫ অগাস্ট , বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের চলমান সহিংসতার মধ্যে আনাস দৌঁড়ে আশ্রয় নিতে নিমতলির ৯ নং নবাব কাটার সরু গলিতে ঢুকে পড়েন। পুলিশ ড্রোনে তাদের অবস্থান শনাক্ত করে গলিতে প্রবেশ করে। আশপাশের সবাই বাসা ও দোকানে আশ্রয় নেয়, কিন্তু আনাস আটকে যান এক দোকানের সামনে। ঠিক তখনই পুলিশ ক্লোজরেঞ্জ থেকে গুলি চালায়—প্রথম গুলি লাগে দোকানের শাটারে, দ্বিতীয়টি তার বুকে। কয়েক কদম এগিয়েই আনাস রাস্তায় লুটিয়ে পড়েন।
আজকের এই দিনে আমরা শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি জুলাই বীর শহীদ আনাসকে — যিনি অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়িয়ে নিজের জীবন উৎসর্গ করে অমর হয়ে আছেন আমাদের হৃদয়ে।
On this day, October 13, 2025 — we remember July Hero Shaheed Anas.
On August 5, amid the ongoing violence of the anti-discrimination student movement, Anas ran into a narrow alley of Nimtoli’s 9 No. Nawab Katra to take shelter. Police detected their position using a drone and entered the alley. While others took refuge in nearby houses and shops, Anas got trapped in front of a shop. At that moment, the police fired at close range — the first bullet hit the shop’s shutter, the second struck his chest. After taking a few steps forward, Anas collapsed onto the street.
On this day, we pay our heartfelt tribute to July Hero Shaheed Anas — who stood against injustice and became immortal in our hearts by sacrificing his life.

“ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সময় আমার স্বামী উত্তরা পূর্ব থানায় পুলিশের গুলিতে আহত হন। পরে তাকে ঢাকা মেডিকেলে নেওয়া হয়, কিন্তু সেখানেই তিনি শহীদ হন। স্বামীকে হারানোর পর এখন আমার একটাই স্বপ্ন—আমার সন্তানদের যেনো ভালো মানুষ হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে পারি। এটা ছিল তারই স্বপ্ন, যা এখন আমি নিজের জীবনের লক্ষ্য বানিয়ে নিয়েছি।”

বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের আহতদের আর্থিক সহায়তা: সার্ডাপ অডিটোরিয়ামে আয়োজিত Dissemination Program-এ জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের অংশগ্রহণ

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইনস্টিটিউট অব হেলথ ইকনমিক্স (IHE), বাংলাদেশ হেলথ ওয়াচ এবং সুইডিশ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ডেভেলপমেন্ট কোঅপারেশন এজেন্সি (SIDA)-এর সহযোগিতায় ২০২৫ সালের ১৩ অক্টোবর ঢাকার সার্ডাপ অডিটোরিয়ামে “বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের আহতদের আর্থিক সহায়তা” শীর্ষক Dissemination Program অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন লেফটেন্যান্ট কর্নেল (অব.) কামাল আকবর, প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা এবং সামসি আরা, সাধারণ সম্পাদক, জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনসহ বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষক ও অতিথিবৃন্দ। অংশগ্রহণকারীদের মধ্যে ছিলেন ড. সৈয়দ আবদুল হামিদ, ড. শফিউন নাহিন শিমুল, ড. আহমেদ মুশতাক রেজা চৌধুরী, ড. মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন, ড. মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান ও প্রফেসর ড. সায়েমা হক বিদিশা প্রমুখ। অনুষ্ঠানে জুলাই ২০২৪ সালের বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের আহতদের সহায়তা কার্যক্রমের অভিজ্ঞতা ও সাফল্য তুলে ধরা হয়, যা মানবিক সংহতি ও সামাজিক ন্যায়বিচারের প্রতি অঙ্গীকারকে আরও সুদৃঢ় করেছে।
The Institute of Health Economics (IHE), University of Dhaka, in collaboration with Bangladesh Health Watch and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), organized a Dissemination Program titled “Financial Support for the Injured Individuals from the Anti-discrimination Students Movement” on October 13, 2025, at the CIRDAP Auditorium, Dhaka. The event was graced by Lt. Col. (Retd.) Kamal Akbar, Chief Executive Officer, and Samsi Ara, General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, along with distinguished academics and guests. Among the notable participants were Dr. Syed Abdul Hamid, Dr. Shafiun Nahin Shimul, Dr. Ahmed Mushtaque Raza Chowdhury, Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, and Professor Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha. The program highlighted the journey and achievements of providing financial assistance to those injured during the July 2024 Anti-discrimination Students Movement, reaffirming solidarity and the ongoing commitment to social justice and humanitarian values.

শুভ জম্মদিন জুলাই বীর শহীদ আব্দুল্লাহ

আজ ১৩ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ — জুলাই বীর শহীদ আব্দুল্লাহ কে স্মরণের দিন।
১৮ জুলাই, বৃহস্পতিবার বাসায় ফেরার পথে তিনি যাত্রাবাড়ীর কাজলা এলাকায় বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের মিছিলে উপস্থিত হন। সে সময় পুলিশ সাঁজোয়া যান থেকে গুলি ও সাউন্ড গ্রেনেড ছুড়ে হামলা চালায়। রাত ৯টার দিকে পুলিশের গুলিতে আব্দুল্লাহ গুরুতর আহত হয়ে রাস্তায় লুটিয়ে পড়েন। পরে নির্মমভাবে তার ওপর দিয়ে সাঁজোয়া যান চালিয়ে দেওয়া হলে তার বাম হাত পিষ্ট হয়ে যায়।
আজকের এই দিনে আমরা শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি জুলাই বীর শহীদ আব্দুল্লাহ কে — যিনি অন্যায়ের প্রতিবাদে নিজের জীবন উৎসর্গ করে চিরজীবী হয়ে আছেন আমাদের হৃদয়ে।
Today, October 13, 2025 — we remember July’s brave martyr Abdullah.
On July 18, Thursday, while returning home, he came across the anti-discrimination student movement at Kajla in Jatrabari. At that time, police launched a brutal attack, firing bullets and sound grenades from armored vehicles. Around 9 p.m., Abdullah was seriously injured by police gunfire and fell to the ground. Moments later, in an act of extreme cruelty, an armored vehicle was driven over him, crushing his left arm.
On this day, we pay our deepest respect to July’s brave martyr Abdullah — who gave his life protesting injustice and lives on forever in our hearts.

আজ ১২ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ — জুলাই বীর শহীদ কাওছার মাহমুদ কে স্মরণের দিন।
লক্ষ্মীপুরের রামগঞ্জের ভাটরা গ্রামের নলছড়ায় জন্ম নেন তিনি ৯ অক্টোবর ২০০২ সালে। আন্দোলনে অংশ নিতে গিয়ে আহত হয়ে ২৭ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৪ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হন এবং ১৩ অক্টোবর মৃত্যুবরণ করেন।
আজ আমরা শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি শহীদ কাওছার মাহমুদকে — যিনি ন্যায়ের জন্য প্রাণ দিয়ে বেঁচে আছেন আমাদের হৃদয়ে।
Today, October 12, 2025 — we remember July’s brave martyr Kawsar Mahmud.
He was born on October 9, 2002, in Nolchora village of Bhatra, Ramganj, Lakshmipur. While taking part in the movement for justice, he was injured on September 27, 2024, and later passed away on October 13, 2024.
Today, we pay our deepest respect to Kawsar Mahmud — who gave his life for justice yet lives on forever in our hearts.

জুলাই বীর শহীদ সোহান শাহ’র জন্মদিন

আজ ১২ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ — জুলাই বীর শহীদ সোহান শাহ’র জন্মদিন।
১৯ জুলাই ২০২৪, রামপুরার উত্তপ্ত রাজপথে ধাওয়া-পাল্টাধাওয়া ও গুলিবর্ষণের সময় একটি গুলি তার বুকে লাগে। গুরুতর অবস্থায় তাঁকে প্রথমে জাতীয় বক্ষব্যাধি ইনস্টিটিউট এবং পরে সিএমএইচে ভর্তি করা হয়। এক মাসেরও বেশি মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে লড়াই শেষে ২৭ আগস্ট ২০২৪ সন্ধ্যায় অপারেশনের পর অতিরিক্ত রক্তক্ষরণে তিনি মারা যান।
তার এই অকাল মৃত্যু পরিবার, বন্ধু ও শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষীদের হৃদয়ে গভীর শোকের ছায়া ফেলে গেছে। আজ তার জন্মদিনে আমরা শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি জুলাই বীর শহীদ সোহান শাহকে — যিনি অন্যায়ের গুলিতে প্রাণ দিলেও চিরজীবী হয়ে আছেন আমাদের হৃদয়ে।
Today, October 12, 2025 — is the birthday of July’s brave martyr Sohan Shah.
On July 19, 2024, during intense clashes and gunfire on the streets of Rampura, a bullet struck his chest. He was rushed to the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital, and later transferred to CMH. After battling for his life for more than a month, Sohan Shah passed away on the evening of August 27, 2024, following surgery due to excessive bleeding.
His untimely death left his family, friends, and well-wishers in deep sorrow. On his birthday today, we remember July’s brave martyr Sohan Shah with deep respect — for though he lost his life to injustice, he remains forever alive in our hearts.

“আমার স্বামী ৫ই আগস্ট ঢাকার উত্তরায় শহীদ হন। তখন আমার মেয়ে আমার গর্ভে ছিল। উনার একটা মেয়ের স্বপ্ন ছিল—কিন্তু আমার কষ্ট এখানেই, যে মেয়েটাকে তিনি এত চেয়েছিলেন, সেই মেয়েকে দেখে যেতে পারেননি। গুলিটা এমনভাবে মাথায় লাগে যে মাথার মগজ বের হয়ে গিয়েছিলো। তিনি স্বপ্ন দেখতেন, তার সন্তানরা তার হাত ধরে বড় হবে, কিন্তু আল্লাহ কোনো স্বপ্নটাই পূরণ হতে দিলেন না।”

He always dreamed of having a daughter—but the pain is, he never got to see the daughter he longed for. The bullet hit his head so brutally that his brain came out. He dreamed of raising his children with his own hands, but Allah did not let any of his dreams come true.”
