আজ, ৩রা জানুয়ারি ২০২৬ থেকে শুরু হলো ৩০তম ঢাকা আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য মেলা, বাংলাদেশ–চীন মৈত্রী এক্সিবিশন সেন্টার, পূর্বাচল। এই মেলা চলবে ৩১ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত।

বাংলাদেশ স্কয়ারের পাশেই রয়েছে জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন-এর প্যাভিলিয়ন। এখানে দেয়ালে ফুটে উঠেছে জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানের দিনগুলোর স্মৃতি, পাশাপাশি ফাউন্ডেশনের কার্যক্রম, পুনর্বাসন উদ্যোগ এবং ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা। প্যাভিলিয়নের ভেতরে টিভি স্ক্রিনে চলবে গণঅভ্যুত্থানের সময়কার ভিডিও, ডকুমেন্টারি, জুলাই শহীদ পরিবার, আহত জুলাই যোদ্ধাদের কথা।

My brother was a day laborer and the sole breadwinner of our family.
On August 5, during the student movement, he was martyred by police gunfire at around 1:00 PM at Mukti Mor in Savar.
He had no grand dreams—he only wished to live with his mother and earn an honest living through hard work.
We humbly request the government to stand by our family.

আজ, ১০ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫, বাংলাদেশ বিনিয়োগ উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষ (বিডা)-এ একটি কৌশলগত আলোচনা ও নেটওয়ার্কিং সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে, যেখানে জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের চলমান পুনর্বাসন কার্যক্রম এবং ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়েছে। সভায় প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আন্তর্জাতিক বিষয়ক প্রধান উপদেষ্টার বিশেষ দূত লুত্ফে সিদ্দিকী এবং বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন দ্রিক পিকচার লি: এর ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক ও বিশিষ্ঠ মানবাধিকারকর্মী শহিদুল আলম।
এছাড়াও, বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রণালয়, এনজিও, করপোরেট খাতের প্রতিনিধিরা, এবং জাতীয় চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রির সদস্যরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। তারা ফাউন্ডেশনের ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা এবং সহযোগিতার সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন।
এই সেশনে আসন্ন “বাংলাদেশ 2.0 মেলা”-র বিস্তারিত পরিকল্পনা তুলে ধরা হয়, যা শহীদ পরিবার এবং আহত যোদ্ধাদের পুনর্বাসন এবং তাদের সামাজিক পুনঃএকীকরণে সাহায্য করবে। একই সঙ্গে, জুলাই মাসের ঐতিহাসিক গুরুত্ব এবং জাতীয় চেতনাকে নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে তুলে ধরার জন্যও এটি একটি বড় পদক্ষেপ।
ফাউন্ডেশনটির দীর্ঘমেয়াদি কার্যক্রম নিয়ে আলোচনার পর, অংশগ্রহণকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো ফাউন্ডেশনের সঙ্গে সহযোগিতা করতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন এবং ভবিষ্যতে একসঙ্গে কাজ করার ব্যাপারে সম্মত হন। তারা মনে করেন, সরকারি ও বেসরকারি খাতের সমন্বয়ে এই পুনর্বাসন কার্যক্রম আরও বেশি ফলপ্রসূ ও টেকসই হবে।

Today, 10 December 2025, a strategic discussion and networking session was held at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), where the ongoing rehabilitation initiatives and future plans of the July Shahid Smriti Foundation were discussed.
The session was graced by Lutfey Siddiqi, the Cheif Chief Adviser GOB’s Special Envoy for International Affairs, as the Chief Guest, and Shahidul Alam, Managing Director of Drik Picture Ltd. and a renowned human rights activist, as the Special Guest.
Representatives from various ministries, NGOs, the corporate sector, and members of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry also participated. They discussed the foundation’s future plans and potential areas of collaboration.
During the session, detailed plans for the upcoming “Bangladesh 2.0 Fair” were presented. This fair aims to support the rehabilitation and social reintegration of martyr families and injured fighters. It also seeks to highlight the historical significance of July and promote national consciousness among the new generation.
After discussing the foundation’s long-term activities, participating organizations expressed their interest in collaborating with the foundation and agreed to work together in the future. They emphasized that coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors would make these rehabilitation initiatives more effective and sustainable.

ওর মা সারাদিন ধরে কান্নাকাটি করছিল, তাই আমি তাকে নানাবাড়ি থেকে বাসায় ফিরে আসতে বলেছিলাম। ভাবছিলাম, ছেলের কাছে থাকলে মনটা একটু হালকা হবে। কিন্তু বিকেলেই খবর পেলাম—পুলিশের গুলিতে আমার ছেলে মারা গেছে।
রাত ১২টায় কোনো রকমে বাসায় পৌঁছে দেখি আমার ছেলের ঝাঁঝরা দেহটা নিথর অবস্থায় পড়ে আছে।
যে ছেলেকে কোলে করে বড় করেছি, তাকে আজ এইভাবে দেখতে হবে কখনও ভাবিনি।

His mother had been crying all day, so I told her to come home from her parents’ place, thinking being closer to our son might ease her pain a little. But by evening, I heard the devastating news my son had been shot dead by the police.
Around midnight, I somehow made it back home. There I found my child’s bullet-torn body lying still on the floor. I never imagined that the boy I once carried in my arms, I would have to see him like this today.

জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে ৮ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ তারিখে জলশিরি সেন্ট্রাল পার্কে মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য বিশেষজ্ঞদের তত্ত্বাবধানে জুলাই–আগস্টের বীর শহীদদের মায়েদের জন্য দিনব্যাপী “Mental Health Development Session” শীর্ষক একটি বিশেষ সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
নিজ সন্তানের অমূল্য প্রাণ উৎসর্গের শোক ও বেদনাকে বুকে ধারণ করে শহীদ মায়েরা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে যে মানসিক চাপ, ট্রমা ও গভীর অবসাদের সঙ্গে লড়াই করে চলেছেন এই সেশনের মাধ্যমে তাঁদের সেই মানসিক ভার লাঘব, মানসিক আঘাত কাটিয়ে ওঠা, পারস্পরিক সামাজিক বন্ধন দৃঢ় করা এবং সহমর্মিতাপূর্ণ পরিবেশে নতুন করে আত্মবিশ্বাস ফিরে পাওয়ার বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব সহকারে তুলে ধরা হয়।
অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত সকলকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ জানাই, যাদের উপস্থিতিতে আমাদের এই প্রয়াস আরও শক্তিশালী হয়েছে এবং শহীদ মায়েদের প্রতি আমাদের সম্মিলিত দায়বদ্ধতা আরও গভীরতর রূপ পেয়েছে।

At the initiative of the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation, a special day session named “Mental Health Development Session” was held on 8 December 2025 at Jolshiri Central Park under the supervision of mental health specialists, dedicated to the mothers of the July–August martyrs.
Carrying the profound grief and trauma of losing their beloved children, the mothers of the martyrs have long been battling emotional pressure and deep psychological wounds. This session focused on easing their mental burden, helping them heal from long-standing trauma, strengthening mutual social bonds, and restoring their confidence in a compassionate and supportive environment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the guests whose presence strengthened our efforts and deepened our collective responsibility toward the mothers of the martyrs.

Seeing the suffering of the country, my brother joined the movement just like countless ordinary people. On August 5th, during an attack by police and armed assailants in Gazipur, my brother embraced martyrdom. He stood up against the injustices plaguing the nation, and it was while resisting that very injustice that he became a martyr.

আজ শ্রদ্ধাভরে স্মরণ করছি বীর শহীদ জিল্লুর রহমান-কে — যিনি বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের এক সাহসী যোদ্ধা ছিলেন। দেশের স্বাধীনতা ও ন্যায়ের জন্য তাঁর দৃঢ় মানসিকতা প্রকাশ পেয়েছিল সেই কথায় — “আমি মিছিলে গেলে দেশটা স্বাধীন হবে।” ৪ আগস্ট সকালে তিনি গাবতলী ও পরে বগুড়ার সাতমাথায় মিছিলে অংশ নেন, যেখানে পুলিশের গুলিতে তিনি গুরুতর আহত হয়ে শহীদ হন। আজ তাঁর জন্মদিনে আমরা শ্রদ্ধা জানাই সেই মহান আত্মত্যাগকে, যিনি নিজের রক্ত দিয়ে লিখে গেছেন মুক্তির ইতিহাস। শুভ জন্মদিন, শহীদ জিল্লুর রহমান — আপনার ত্যাগ আমাদের ন্যায়ের লড়াইয়ে অনন্ত প্রেরণা হয়ে থাকবে।

Today, we honor and remember Shaheed Zillur Rahman, a brave participant in the anti-discrimination student movement. His unwavering dedication to justice and freedom shone through his powerful words — “If I join the procession, the country will be free.” On August 4, he joined rallies in Gabtoli and later in Bogura’s Satmatha, where he was shot by police and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. On his birthday, we pay our deepest respects to his supreme sacrifice — the sacrifice that wrote a chapter of freedom with his own blood. Happy Birthday, Shaheed Zillur Rahman — your courage and ideals will forever inspire our fight for justice.

আমার ছেলে ৫ই আগস্টের বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের বিজয় মিছিলে পুলিশ এবং সন্ত্রাসী বাহিনীর গুলিতে আহত হলে তাকে এনাম মেডিকেল কলেজে নেওয়া হয় এবং পরবর্তীতে ডাক্তাররা তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করে। আমার ছেলের স্বপ্ন ছিল একজন ভালো ডাক্তার হয়ে দেশের জনগণের সেবা করবে, গ্রামে গিয়ে গরীবদের বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা করবে।

My son was injured by police gunfire during the victory procession of the anti-discrimination student movement on August 5. He was taken to Enam Medical College, where doctors later declared him d*ead. My son’s dream was to become a good doctor, serve the people of the country, and go to villages to provide free treatment to the poor.
