বেল্লাল হোসেন। একজন রিকশাচালক। গত ডিসেম্বরের এক রাতে কেরানিগঞ্জে ডাকাতের কবলে পড়ে এবং পায়ে গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়। পরবর্তীতে অপারেশন এর মাধ্যমে তার পা কেটে ফেলা হয়। এমন সময় বেল্লালের বাবার সাথে সাক্ষাৎ হয় প্রতারক জুনায়েদ এর।জুনায়েদ তাকে জানায় সে মোহাম্মদপুরের একজন ছাত্র প্রতিনিধি ( কোথাও সাংবাদিক , কোথাও ফাউন্ডেশনের কর্মী পরিচয় দিয়ে প্রতারণা করাই তার কাজ )। জুনায়েদ তাকে বেল্লালের সকল মেডিকেল ডকুমেন্টস কালেক্ট করে তাকে ফাউন্ডেশন থেকে ১ লাখ টাকার চেক পাইয়ে দেওয়ার আশ্বাস দেয় এবং বিভিন্নভাবে ফাউন্ডেশনে চাপ প্রয়োগ করতে থাকে। এরপর নানান ধরনের প্রতারনার মাধ্যমে টাকা পাইয়ে দিয়ে পরবর্তীতে তার থেকে খরচ বাবদ ৩০ হাজার টাকা গ্রহন করে। এরপরই জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের অনুসন্ধানে বেড়িয়ে আসে এমন চাঞ্চল্যকর প্রতারণার ঘটনা। পরবর্তীতে তাকে পুলিশের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়।

Bellal Hossain, a rickshaw puller, fell victim to a robbery one night last December in Keraniganj, during which he was shot in the leg. Later, his leg had to be amputated through surgery. During this difficult time, Bellal’s father encountered a fraudster named Junaid. Junaid introduced himself as a student representative from Mohammadpur (although he frequently masquerades as a journalist or a foundation worker to carry out his scams). Junaid collected all of Bellal’s medical documents and assured his father that he could arrange a check of 1 lakh taka from a foundation. He even started pressuring the foundation in various ways. Using different fraudulent tactics, Junaid managed to secure the money but then took 30,000 taka from Bellal’s father as “expenses.” Later in July, an investigation by the Shahid Smriti Foundation revealed this shocking case of fraud. Junaid was subsequently handed over to the police.
