তারা থেমে যায়, কিন্তু দেশের মানুষ আরও দৃঢ় হয়। ৩ আগস্ট সেই দিন, যখন দু’টি জীবন নিভে গিয়েছিল, কিন্তু জ্বেলে দিয়েছিল হাজারো প্রাণের প্রতিরোধ। রনি আর ইমন ছিলেন কেবল নাম নয়—তারা ছিল এক প্রশ্ন: “আর কত?” তাদের চোখের শেষ আলোকছটা আজও আলো দেয় আমাদের মিছিলের পথে। যখন রাষ্ট্র মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তখনই জেগে ওঠে এমন মুখ—যারা নিজের রক্তে লিখে যায় অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে মানুষের অধিকারের ইতিহাস। তারা আজ আমাদের মাঝে নেই, কিন্তু তাঁদের ডাক এখনো বাতাসে বাজে—ন্যায়ের জন্য, মানুষের জন্য।

২ আগস্ট — শহীদ ওমর প্রাণ দিয়েছেন অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়িয়ে, মাথা উঁচু রেখে। তিনি ছিলেন প্রতিরোধের প্রতীক — যিনি অন্যায় দেখে চুপ থাকেননি, বরং নিজের জীবন দিয়ে আমাদের চোখে সত্য ও সাহসের আলো জ্বেলে গেছেন।
বাংলাদেশের মানুষ কখনোই জুলুমের সামনে মাথা নত করেনি। শহীদ ওমরের রক্ত আমাদের সেই সংগ্রামী চেতনাকে আরও শাণিত করে — মনে করিয়ে দেয়, ন্যায়ের পথ কখনো থেমে থাকে না।
তাঁর আত্মত্যাগ ইতিহাসের পাতায় শুধু একটি নাম নয় — এটি এক অগ্রযাত্রার প্রেরণা, যে প্রেরণা অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে মাথা তুলে দাঁড়াতে শেখায়।

এই দিনে, দেশের ছাত্রসমাজ ও সাধারণ জনগণ অন্যায়, বৈষম্য ও অবিচারের বিরুদ্ধে রাজপথে নামে। এটি ছিল শুধু প্রতিবাদ নয় — একটি জাগরণ। একটি দৃঢ় ঘোষণা: ন্যায়ের পক্ষে, বৈষম্যের বিরুদ্ধে। গণঅভ্যুত্থান নয় — এটি ছিল ন্যায়ের জন্য ইতিহাসগড়া একটি পদক্ষেপ।

তৎকালীন সরকারের মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে ৩০ জুলাইকে কোটা আন্দোলনে শহীদদের স্মরণে জাতীয় শোক দিবস ঘোষণা করা হয়। তৎকালীন সরকারের নেতারা তাদের প্রোফাইল ছবি কালো করলেও, সাধারণ মানুষ প্রতিবাদ করেছে লাল প্রোফাইল ছবি দিয়ে — যেন রক্তে লেখা এক প্রতীকী ঘা। এই প্রতিবাদ শুধু একদিনের নয়। এটি ছিল ঘোষণা — যে আমরা আমাদের ভাইদের রক্তের ওপর কোনো আপসে যাব না, যাব না কোনো ছলচাতুরির ফাঁদে। কারণ এই শহীদরা কেবল নাম নয়, তারা প্রতিরোধের চেতনায় জেগে থাকা এক একটি শিখা। তাদের রক্তে লেখা আছে আমাদের অঙ্গীকার — মাথা নত করব না, অধিকার ছেড়ে দেব না, এবং রক্তের ঋণ ভুলব না।
On July 30, the then government declared a National Day of Mourning in remembrance of the martyrs of the quota reform movement. While government leaders changed their profile pictures to black, the general public responded with red profile pictures — a symbolic wound written in blood. But this protest was not just for a day. It was a declaration — that we will not compromise over the blood of our brothers, nor fall into the traps of deception. Because these martyrs are not just names; they are flames of resistance that still burn within us. Their blood has written our vow: We will not bow. We will not give up our rights. And we will not forget the debt of blood.

আজ, ২৯ জুলাই ২০২৫, শহীদ পরিবার ও আহত নারী সদস্যদের উদ্যোক্তা হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে তিনদিনব্যাপী “আর্টস অ্যান্ড ক্রাফটস” দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন প্রশিক্ষণের শুভ উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠিত হলো বি আই এম, সোবহানবাগ, ঢাকায়। এই বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করে জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন ও SME Foundation ।
উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এসএমই ফাউন্ডেশনের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক জনাব আনোয়ার হোসেন চৌধুরী, ড. খন্দকার আজিজুল মহাপরিচালক, বিআইএম এবং জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা জনাব কামাল আকবর সহ আরও অনেকে। এই প্রশিক্ষণ শহীদ পরিবার ও আহত নারী সদস্যদের আত্মনির্ভরশীলতার পথে এক সাহসী পদক্ষেপ।
On July 29, 2025, the inauguration of a special 3-day “Arts & Crafts Skill Development Training” was held at BIM, Sobhanbagh, Dhaka, with the aim of empowering female members of martyr families and injured women to become entrepreneurs.
This unique training program is jointly organized by the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation and the SME Foundation.
The inaugural event was graced by the presence of Mr. Anowar Hosen Chowdhury, Managing Director of SME Foundation, Dr. Khandaker Azizul, Director General of BIM, and Mr. Kamal Akbar, CEO of July Shaheed Smrity Foundation, among others.
This initiative marks a bold step toward self-reliance and economic empowerment for the brave women who carry the legacy of sacrifice.

প্রতিদিন শহীদের তালিকা আরও দীর্ঘ হতে থাকে — ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য চূড়ান্ত মূল্য চোকানোর এক মর্মন্তুদ স্মারক। ২৯ জুলাই, জসিম শহীদের তালিকায় যুক্ত হলেন — সেই সাহসীদের একজন, যিনি ফ্যাসিবাদের বিরুদ্ধে নিজের জীবন উৎসর্গ করেছেন। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের মানুষ কখনও মাথা নত করেনি। না ভয়ে, না শাসনের কাছে, না ফ্যাসিবাদের রক্তচক্ষুর সামনে। প্রতিটি শহীদের স্মৃতি তারা হৃদয়ে ধরে রেখেছে, আগুনের মতো আলো জ্বালিয়ে। তারা দাঁড়িয়েছে, বারবার, বুকভরা সাহস আর কণ্ঠভরা প্রতিবাদ নিয়ে। তারা দাঁড়িয়েছে অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে, স্বৈরাচারের বিরুদ্ধে, সেই সমস্ত শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে যারা সত্যকে চাপা দিতে চায়।

Every day, the list of martyrs grows longer — a haunting reminder of the price paid for justice. On July 29th, Jashim joined the ranks of the brave who gave their lives in the face of tyranny. But the people of Bangladesh have never bowed their heads. Not to fear. Not to oppression. Not to fascism. They carry the memory of each fallen soul as a torch in their hands. They rise, again and again, with courage in their hearts and fire in their voices. They stood — and still stand — against injustice. Against dictatorship. Against every force that tries to silence truth.
