A press briefing will be held tomorrow, January 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM in front of the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation, where a comprehensive report on all the activities and financial accounts of the foundation up to December 31, 2024, will be presented.

বছরের প্রথম দিনটি আমাদের সবার জন্যই অত্যন্ত বিশেষ। এ দিন নিয়ে আমাদের থাকে একটু আলাদা ভাবনা এবং আমরা সবাই চাই এই দিনটি পরিবারের সদস্য, বন্ধু-বান্ধব এবং প্রিয়জনদের সঙ্গে উদযাপন করতে। জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন এর জন্য পরিবার বলতে শুধু রক্তের সম্পর্ক নয়, বরং সেই শহীদ এবং আহত যোদ্ধাদের পরিবার, যারা তাদের ত্যাগের মাধ্যমে আমাদের একটি সুন্দর বাংলাদেশ উপহার দিয়েছেন। তাই নতুন বছরের প্রথম দিনটি আমরা তাদের সঙ্গেই কাটিয়েছি, যারা আজও সেই ত্যাগের স্মৃতি বয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন।

নতুন বছর আমাদের সবার জন্য নতুন সম্ভাবনা বয়ে আনুক। তবে সেই সম্ভাবনা তখনই অর্থবহ হবে, যখন আমরা আমাদের শহীদ ও আহত ভাই-বোনদের পাশে দাঁড়াব। এটি শুধু একটি দায়িত্ব নয়, বরং আমাদের পরিবারের প্রতি ভালোবাসার প্রকাশ।

জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন-এর পক্ষ থেকে ৩১ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৪ রাতে তাদের প্রাপ্য আর্থিক সহায়তার চেক নিয়ে ঢাকার বিভিন্ন স্থানে এবং হাসপাতালে ভর্তি আহত যোদ্ধাদের মাঝে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক জনাব মোঃ সার্জিস আলম, জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন-এর প্রধান নির্বাহী মীর মাহবুবুর রহমান স্নিগ্ধ এবং তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপদেষ্টা জনাব নাহিদ ইসলাম।

The first day of the year is incredibly special for all of us. We have unique thoughts about this day, and we all wish to celebrate it with our family members, friends, and loved ones. For the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, family does not only mean blood relations but also the families of those martyrs and injured fighters who gifted us a beautiful Bangladesh through their sacrifices. That is why we spent the first day of the new year with those who still carry the memories of those sacrifices.

May the new year bring new opportunities for all of us. However, those opportunities will only be meaningful when we stand beside our martyred and injured brothers and sisters. This is not just a responsibility but also an expression of our love for our family.

On behalf of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, on the night of December 31, 2024, financial assistance checks were distributed among injured fighters admitted to various hospitals and locations across Dhaka. Present during this initiative were the General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, Mr. Md. Sargis Alam; the Chief Executive, Mr. Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha; and the Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Nahid Islam.

জুলাই-আগস্টে ছাত্র জনতার গণঅভ্যুত্থানে জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন থেকে শহীদ পরিবার ও আহত ব্যক্তিদের সহায়তায় মোট ৪৩,১৭৬,৬৯৩১ টাকা ২,০০৫টি পরিবারকে বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ২৯,০৫০,০০০ টাকা ৫৮১টি শহীদ পরিবারের মাঝে এবং ১৪,১২৬,৬৯৩১ টাকা ১,৪২৪ জন আহত ব্যক্তির মাঝে প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

During the July-August mass uprising of students and citizens, the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation provided financial assistance totaling 43,176,6931 taka to 2,005 families. Among them, 29,050,000 taka was distributed to 581 Shaheed families, and 14,126,6931 taka was allocated to 1,424 injured individuals. This support honors the sacrifices of the Shaheed and aids the recovery of the injured.

The government has announced a full waiver of salary and tuition fees for students injured in the July-August student uprising. This decision, announced on 29th October, spans all levels of education—from secondary schools to universities—covering both public and private institutions, including madrasas and technical schools.

To benefit from the waiver, eligible students are required to submit a medical certificate to their institution’s head, who will promptly verify and process their applications. This support will continue throughout the students’ educational journey, ensuring they can pursue their studies free from financial burden. Institutions nationwide have been directed to implement these measures immediately, creating a pathway for injured students to focus on their education without added stress.

জুলাই-আগস্টের ছাত্র বিপ্লবে আহত শিক্ষার্থীদের বেতন ও টিউশন ফি সম্পূর্ণ মওকুফের ঘোষণা দিয়েছে সরকার। ২৯শে অক্টোবর ঘোষিত এই সিদ্ধান্তের প্রেক্ষিতে মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষাবোর্ডের বার্তায় জানানো হয়, উক্ত কার্যক্রম মাদ্রাসা এবং কারিগরি স্কুল সহ সরকারী এবং বেসরকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানক এবং মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পর্যন্ত – শিক্ষার সমস্ত স্তরের জন্য প্রযোজ্য ৷

আহত শিক্ষার্থীরা প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রধানের কাছে একটি মেডিকেল সার্টিফিকেট জমা দেওয়ার সাপেক্ষে অবিলম্বে তাদের আবেদনগুলি যাচাই ও প্রক্রিয়া করা হবে। এই সহায়তা শিক্ষার্থীদের শিক্ষাগত যাত্রা জুড়ে অব্যাহত থাকবে, যাতে তারা আর্থিক সঙ্কট থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে তাদের পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে পারে। দেশব্যাপী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলিকে এই ব্যবস্থাগুলি অবিলম্বে বাস্তবায়ন করার জন্য নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে, আহত ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের অতিরিক্ত চাপ ছাড়াই শিক্ষায় মনোনিবেশ করার জন্য এই উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে।
