৪ঠা আগস্ট সেই সকল প্রাণের স্মরণ, যারা রক্ত দিয়ে জাগিয়ে তুলেছিল ঘুমন্ত জাতির বিবেক। তারা আজ নেই, কিন্তু তাদের আত্মত্যাগ আজও বাতাসে ধ্বনিত হয়—আমাদের কণ্ঠে, আমাদের পদক্ষেপে, আমাদের মিছিলের ছন্দে। তারা চুপ থাকেনি অন্যায় দেখে। তারা মাথা নত করেনি শাসকের রক্তচক্ষুর সামনে। তারা এক মুহূর্তে নিভে গিয়ে হাজারো প্রাণে জ্বালিয়ে দিয়েছে প্রতিরোধের আলো। বাংলাদেশের মানুষ কখনোই জুলুম মেনে নেয়নি, মাথা নিচু করেনি, ভয় পায়নি। আমরা সেই উত্তরসূরি, যারা ইতিহাসকে শুধু স্মরণ করি না, বয়ে চলি হৃদয়ে।

August 4th is a day to remember those souls who, through their sacrifice, awakened the sleeping conscience of a nation. They are no longer with us, but their martyrdom still echoes in the air—in our voices, in our footsteps, in the rhythm of our marches. They did not remain silent in the face of injustice. They did not bow before the bloodshot eyes of tyranny. In a single moment, they were extinguished—only to ignite the flame of resistance in thousands of others. The people of Bangladesh have never accepted oppression, never bowed their heads, never succumbed to fear. We are their successors—not merely remembering history, but carrying it within us.
