৯ আগস্ট — যখন আমরা ভেবেছিলাম খারাপটা শেষ, তখনই এল আরও এক আঘাত। স্বৈরশাসনের ধ্বংসস্তূপের নিচেও লুকিয়ে ছিল প্রতিহিংসার বিষ। এই দিনে যারা প্রাণ দিয়েছেন, তারা ছিলেন সাহসের শেষ প্রহরীর মতো—নিজেদের শেষ দিয়ে আমাদের শুরুটা রক্ষা করেছেন। তাদের মৃত্যু আমাদের দুঃখ নয়, তাদের আত্মত্যাগ আমাদের দায়িত্ব। তারা নেই, কিন্তু তাদের দেয়া শপথ এখনও বেঁচে আছে আমাদের কণ্ঠে, আমাদের রক্তে।
